Quick Gift Bag
A dear friend turned 60 years old yesterday. I needed to make a quick gift bag to hold her gifts. I took a plain black gift bag, a card I made earlier this week, and a strip of remnant polka-dot fabric. Glued the card to the side of the bag, stuffed it with goodies, and tied it shut with a fabric bow. The image is a Shirley's 2 Girls digi stamp. I used a Die-namics border from My Favorite Things.

Family Holiday
My children and grandchildren will be coming home for a visit this summer. It will be great to have everyone together. In order to make the best use of our time together, I've made agenda cards to send out to my kids. You are viewing the front and back of the card/large tag. The stamps for this project are from Eat Cake Graphics. I went a little crazy with the dots...

Whimsy Haven Blog Hop Wednesay
Welcome to the Whimsy Haven Blog Hop. I'm first this week! This is my last week as guest designer for Whimsy Haven. It's been a blast working with Lindsay's stamps. What I like most about her work is that you can build with her images. I took the window from the Seed of Hope set and the Alex image to create my card. Thanks, Lindsay, for the opportunity to work with such a fun team!
Lindsay is having a half price sale this week! Great time to buy her digi stamps! Make sure you go to the Whimsy Haven Blog to see this week's $1.00 and other deets about the hop!

Crafty Creations
I can't believe another week has flown past me. It's time for the Crafty Creations Challenge. It's an easy one! All you have to do is use your favorite stamp..that's it! Since Bugaboo Digi Stamps is sponsoring the challenge, I selected my favorite Bugaboo stamp. Actually, I have more than one favorite...To make it easier for me to choose, I selected one that would be perfect for a 60th birthday gift tag. One of the Flip Flop Girls (my adult click...do they still use the word "click?") is turning 60 on Friday. Please take the time to visit Bugaboo. She has so many cute characters with funny sentiments. You'll chuckle...I promise.

Daisy at the Beach
The scallops made on this card were created with my new wide scallop Die-namics metal die cut from My Favorite Things. I made this card for a challenge without reading all the directions...not a good idea...oh well, I like how it looks so I found some other challenges for it. It's a card for a child...when you're in the "silver" years, anyone under the age of 18 is a child...Daisy, the S2G digi, is a teenager. I used two stamps to create the background paper behind Daisy. While looking through my stash of stamps, I found a random dot stamp and a little flower stamp. The flower reminded me of sand dollars...humor me...instant DP...

My Inner Self has been warning me about papercrafter's burnout or loss of mojo. I think I'm very close to losing my mojo. Fortunately, CAS cards provide a means to create without much effort. Days like this...it's CAS to the rescue. Being a collector of quotes, I found this one the other day. Thought it would be a nice sentiment for a graduation card. Quote, border punch, DP, and ribbon...instant CAS!!

Blog Anniversary!
I didn’t realize it until yesterday that this morning is my one year anniversary in blog world. My first posts had nothing to do with paper crafting because I didn’t know about challenges. When I discovered them, it didn’t take long before, like many others, I became addicted. It’s been such a fun time for me. I’ve met so many creative people along the way. I’ve been lucky to have been chosen for many wonderful design teams. I thought about having blog candy, but, I changed my mind. Instead, I’m giving away gift certificates from two companies that have given so much to me over the last five months. First, a $10.00 gift card from Shirley’s 2 Girls. My very first challenge win was from their Twisted Thursday’s Challenge. I immediately fell in love with the stamps with an “attitude.” When they had a Design Team call in December, I made the team! My second $10.00 gift card is from Eat Cake Graphics. I saw one of Holly’s stamps on a blog which led me to her store. It just so happened that she was having a design team call. I applied and was chosen! She has supplied me with wonderful rubber stamps that are whimsical and never fail to make me giggle. These two companies are among the best out there! Thanks. I'm having two separate drawings. First, I randomly chose one person from my current list of followers. The winner of the Eat Cake Graphics gift card is Janette of Little Bos-Crafty Place. Congrats! If you do not contact me by Wednesday, 6:00 pm est, I’ll draw another name. If you become a follower after this post, you’ll be included in any additional draws. The second drawing will be made from comments left on this post! You will have until Sunday, May 23rd to leave a comment. I'll draw Monday, the 24th for the Shirley's 2 Girls card. Finally, thanks to everyone who has made this small world of ours a fun adventure. Cheers!
(Number 77 represents last person to follow. I counted down to 57 from this point.)

Confession
I have a confession...My daughter earned her Master's Degree last December. Being such a busy time of year, it quietly slipped by without a lot of fanfare. When I visit my daughter and her beautiful family next month, I'll be tucking away this little gift box filled with something...I also made it for the Fun with Fabric Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I found the fun polka dot fabric in the remnant bin at a local craft store. I love it when I find a bargin...there's enough leftover for lots of future projects...

Whimsy Haven Wednesday Blog Hop
It's another Blog Hop Wednesday over at Whimsy Haven. If you arrived from Amy's blog, you're in th right place. If not, please start at the beginning over at Whimsy Haven. There's a new $1.00 image (today only!) and other deets. For this week's hop, I chose Alex. The minute I saw her my brain flashed to childhood and paperdolls. Those who have followed my blog for awhile know I LOVE paperdolls! I immediately printed out several different outfits for her. I thought she needed an umbrella; so, I used the one from the Dancing in the Rain set. Like my daughter, the clotheshorse, she needed a suitcase to store all her clothes. I altered an Altoid box to make a suitcase. I wish kids still played with paperdolls...oh well, I had a good time...

The Crazy Challenge
It's another Crazy Challenge Monday! Today's challenge is to do something cute and cuddly. I mean, to make a card or something that is cute and cuddly. I chose a Shirley's 2 Girls stamp to do the job. They have such cute animal digi stamps. I used to have a gray cat just like the digi. He had a few nasty habits...but, he was cute and cuddly.

It would make a wonderful father's day card for a military dad. It's also a great summertime card. I must apologize for not coloring the field around the stars blue. Whimsy Haven Blog Hop!
Whimsy Haven Wednesday Blog Hop!
If you've come here first, please make sure you go back to the beginning at Whimsy Haven to see this week's release stamp and deets about the prize.
You need to leave a little love at each blog along the way and one at Whimsy Haven in order to qualify for the drawing!
EEEkkk! I'm first!
Today's my first time at being the Guest Designer for Whimsy Haven Stamps! Wow! What fun stamps! I chose the "On the Shelf" set to showcase today. Well, I couldn't just stop at one card...this set is really versatile.
When I was a young girl, I wanted a dollhouse. The closest I ever got to owning one was my doll furniture collection for my Barbie Doll. This set reminded me of dollhouse furniture. With that as my inspiration, I made a wall arrangement. Since I had no place to put the cute lamp, I had to make another card.
I love how you can manipulate digi stamps. I took the lamp and squished it and stretched it to different shaped lamps. One lamp from the set becomes four lamps for this card. With a little paper piecing and dimensionals, the card was finished in a snap. The sentiment on the inside will say, "You brighten my day!" You know...you do.

Click yourself to Jenny's blog- Wee Memories
I can't wait to see what she's created.
If you get lost, go back to Whimsy Haven for the list of blogs along the hop.
Crafty Creations Chalenge- Magical
This week's sponsor for the Crafty Creations Challenge is Stitchy Bear Stamps. The theme is MAGICAL. I selected the stamp, cups_tiare, to work with because there's nothing better than a fairy with an attitude. I found the little genie bottle on a coloring page website. My wish is for you to make your way to Crafty Creations for deets and inspiration. I have two wishes left...

What a Catch!
When I saw this rubber stamp, I knew it was going to make a perfect father’s day card for my husband. He has been a great father to our two kids. Whenever my husband goes fishing, he always comes home with stories about his catches. Little does he know, when I married him, it was the greatest catch of all. Enough of the mushy stuff…
